Spain is ready to patrol Baltic countries’ air space.
Spain is ready to patrol air space of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia in the framework of NATO.
As a REGNUM correspondent was informed at Latvian Defense Ministry’s press office, Latvian Defense Minister Atis Slakteris (People’s Party) discussed the question with Spanish Ambassador to Latvia Emilio Lorenzo Serra during their meeting.
Also, the parties discussed further strengthening of cooperation of both countries in defense sphere, forthcoming visit of the Spanish defense minister to Latvia, as well as preparation for a NATO summit, which will take place in the end of November in the Latvian capital.
