Prosecution confirms Stiuso gave testimony in Nisman probe
The Prosecution Office confirmed in a press release that ex Intelligence Secretariat Operations head Antonio "Jaime" Stiuso has given testimony in the investigation of late AMIA prosecutor Alberto Nisman's death.
Spymaster Stiuso's statement was much expected since he was called to testify by prosecutor Viviana Fein on February 4.
He was subpoenaed as a witness in the investigation following telephone records that proved he had contact with Nisman the day before he was found dead in his apartment located in the Buenos Aires City neighbourhood of Puerto Madero.
Forensinc tests
The Prosecution also said that it awaits the results of the toxicology tests and histopathological examination on Nisman's body, and that a DNA matching test from samples taken from the late prosecutor's fingernails is still pending.
The press release said that the Prosecution will not deliver any details on the content of the witness' testimonies or the medical reports.
